“Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah….” Which means May All Become Happy. It was once being preached & practiced by our ancestors. It used to be the guiding line of our society & reflected in our collective thought & action. Such purity & divineness was achieved only due to the blessings of Mother cow. She had the power to purify our mind, body & environment.

With deep respect for Mother Cow & proper use of cow-products, India used to be an advanced country in all respect; be it wealth, knowledge or spirituality. Our saints were endowed with mystical power & knowledge. Even God, in his incarnation as Krishna, has shown how we can inculcate the devotion towards Gomata. But now mother cow is being considered as a mere animal like other animals. We’re blind by the false promises of western culture, importance of cow based products is long forgotten. Too much use of pesticides & insecticides has not only poisoned the environment but our body & mind too. We’ve become weak, both physically & mentally.

We’ve lost our inner strength in fighting with diseases, melancholy & sufferings and are in the brink of complete devastation. The only solution to all these problems is to re-establish the ancient Vedic lifestyle that used to be centred around cow based agriculture.

But, to many of us who consider life as profit & loss statement, can’t comprehend the true effectiveness of cow products and for such people, cow is another animal. Another interesting fact is, most of us think that the imported breeds are cow just as our indigenous cow which is completely unscientific.

The only solution to this problem, to change the attitude is to create mass awareness promoting Indian Govijnana; scientific study on cow & cow products and their effectiveness. Govijnana prasikhana or this scientific training aim to teach the ignorant mass about the importance of indigenous cow and how they can help us to achieve socio-economic development.

Govijnana training imparts practical knowledge to carry our go-adharita krishi or cow based organic farming that not only offers nutrient-rich high quality crops but it also takes care not to harm the environment or nature in this process. We can soundly say that persons who are trained with this scientific approach can definitely help to establish economically self-dependent & developed society.

Dedicated & consistent effort is what we only need to achieve this. One of the top priority of Odisha Gau-Seva Samiti is to spread this knowledge to every corner of Odisha & train farmers or people having cow farm or who are interested to serve Gomata. Such persons can further accelerate this culture in their locations & can motivate others to practice cow based organic farming & to use cow products in daily life. That way, we can achieve the desired goal to establish Adarsha Gograma & save our indigenous cows. A permanent training centre has been established within the campus at Hariharananda Gurukulam at Puri for training & research purpose. Here every month, different training programme are being conducted to train how to rear indigenous cows, how to carry out cow-based organic farming scientifically & how to prepare different medicinal & daily used products from cow milk, urine & cow dung.

Farmers, students & even women from 30 districts of Odisha are being trained here under experienced trainers & scientists of different departments. Apart from this, our trainers are travelling to different villages & are conducting different training programmes all over Odisha.
